Kelly Shriver
writes short stories, plays, and novels. She also loves working backstage for several local theatre companies.
Two of her plays were workshopped in the annual Underground New Play Festival at Theatre Cedar Rapids. BOMB Magazine’s annual fiction contest and StorySouth’s Million Writers Competition have honored her short stories as top-ten finalists. She also co-founded Bound Off, a podcast of short fiction, in 2006.
Kelly began her career as a journalist, first as a television production assistant at New York City-based Medical News Network, then as a reporter for Modern Healthcare magazine in Chicago. She has lived in seven states and now calls Cedar Rapids, Iowa her hometown.
